Pop singer Hitomi Shimatani trained to be an enka (traditional Japanese music) artist, but her first single as one didn't go as planned. It wasn't a complete flop, but I guess her label or her wanted a different direction. So, she was reinvented. Anyway, "Osaka no Onna" is a dramatic ballad that shouldn't have been swept under Shimatani's rug. (That doesn't sound right.)
