YeLLOW Generation was a Japanese female trio housed under Sony. I absolutely love their debut song, "LOST GENERATION". The lead, Yuki, has a really great voice and definitely overshadows the other two girls. They only had two albums and disbanded in 2006. "Listen!" is from their second album. Something about the composition seemed "western". Turns out I was right as it was written by someone named Stevie Bensusen, whose credits include working with Jordan Knight and some Euro boy band called a1. The way the chorus is sung - very lightly and harmonic - on this girl rock track isn't traditional to Japanese pop.
