Meiko Kaji is best known as an actress and singer in her homeland. Two of her most famous songs were included on the soundtrack to the Kill Bill films. "Urami Bushi" is one, but it originally hails from the Sasori series of films Meiko did back in the '70s. The lady has a very beautiful voice that makes these bitter and morose enka ballads memorable.
